Rewari Heritage Steam Loco Shed

It is one of the oldest surving steam loco shed in India. The museum is near rewari railway station. Well marked in Google maps, the museum is a must visit place with kids. Many old loco steam engines are displayed here, the Fairy Queen was built in 1855 and is still functional, the other locos being Shahanshah, Akbar, Sultan etc. Many bollywood movies' shooting was done here.

The Fairy Queen Steam Loco carries tourists from Delhi, and we were lucky as the last ferry had just arrived. It usually runs on every second Saturday from October to April.

Distance from Delhi - 80kms

The museum is open 7 days a week from 09:00am to 05:00pm.

Entrance is free for all.

Photography is permitted at no charge.

There is a canteen, toilet facility.
