Bhubaneshwar

The temple city and the capital state of Orissa and also an ancient kingdom, quintessence of the present and the past. Bhubaneshwar is bustling with modernity and reverbrates with echoes its glorious past.
Puri
The abode of Lord Jagannath, literally Lord of the world, Puri is one of the four holy places in India. Located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal it has one of the finest beaches in the world. This pilgrimage town is also home to artisans and craftsmen who produce a wide range of unique handicrafts.
Konark
Described as the poem in stone the Sun temple at Konark is the crowning glory of the temple architecture of orissa. History and folk mythology have created layers of legends shrouding the genesis of this World Heritage monument built in the 13th century A.D on the golden beach of Chandrabhaga.
It was after this battle that Ashoka adopted Buddhism. It flourished under Kharavela, a great conqueror and patron of Jainism, in the 1st century BC. The Kesari dynasty and the Eastern Ganga dynasty who ruled later contributed extensively to the architectural heritage of Orissa. Orissa with its beaches, rivers, waterfalls, hills, forests, wildlife and tribal life; and great tradition of architecture, monuments and sculptural art provides for a great retreat and tourist haven.
