Kadri Manjunatha Temple
Kadri Manjunatheshwara temple gets the name due to the location in the Kadri hills. The temple dates back to the Vijayanagara period in the 11th century. It was a buddhist centre early in the 10th century, and later when it declined, the Nath Pantha came into existence here. Lord Shiva is the diety and his folowers were called the Jogis.Lord Manjunatha seated here is a form of Shiva, which is sorrounded by the Panadava caves. At a point at the back of the temple is a natural spring, and people believe it to be river Bhagirathi in Kasi. It is a must visit place in Mangalore. There is parking near the temple.
