Delhi to Ahmedabad by Indigo flight and further to Little Rann of Kutch by cab, it is around 95 kms and takes a little above 2 hours to reach Rann Riders in Dasada village. One of the best resort near LRK is Rann Riders. Another option is Desert Coursers near Zenabad. One can also stay at Surendranagar...

Best time to visit is from Nov to Jan. I visited in 1st week of December and still the day was hot after 11 am.

Little Rann of Kutch is famous for Indian wild ass (Khur), Raptors (Eagles, Harriers, Falcons...) It is the best destination to see Flamingos and pelicans. One can find over 2 lakh + Flamingos here.

Places to visit are

Zenabad for Khurs (Wildass) (which is about 15 to 17kms from the resort on state highway 19 Bajana Creek (before Bajana Village) for Flamingos,Falcons,Owl,Eagle (35 kms from resort). From here one can also venture deep into LRL towards Rupen River which forms a sort of Delta and is a breeding ground for Flamingos..

Also around here on can sight the Houbara Bustard. "Nawa Talab" is also on State highway 19 is about 10 kms from Zenabad. Ideal spot for Ducks and Small water birds... , Flamingos, Pelicans..

One has to travel / roam hundreds of kms in LRK to trace/track birds and must say its worth every effort...

For personal vehicles inside, one will need permit. Entry through Zenabad is very easy, any 4X2 suv can roam inside LRK.. Now for some photos.......
