What to see in
Katni
Katni is famous for its Marble mines. There are many ancient temples around the place. The Vijaraghavgarh for is 33 kms away. Jhinjhari is worth visiting, 3 kms away there are nearly 14 big painted rocks which are said to be of pre-historic times.
Bandhavgarh National Park
This is the place where you can certainly spot a tiger in its natural habitat. Stretching over 448 sq. kms Bandhavgarh is rich in other forms of wildlife like deer, leopard, sambar and wild boar. It is equally rich in bird life too.
Kanha National Park
Kanha's sal and bamboo forests rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq kms in dramatic natural splendour. It is home to an amazing variety of mammals including the tiger, leopard and bison. It is also the only habitat of the rare Hardground Barasingha. Besides there are over 200 species of birds making Kanha a bird watcher's paradise.
Jabalpur
Pleasure resort and capital of the Gond kings during the 12th century, Jabalpur was later the seat of the Kalchuri dynasty. The Marathas held sway over Jabalpur until 1817 when the British wrested it from them and left their impression on the spacious cantonment with its colonial residences and barracks. Today Jabalpur is an important administrative centre abustle with commercial activity.

Bhedaghat
Soaring in glittering splendour, the Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat rise to a 100ft on either side of the Narmada and are a treat to behold along with the spectacular Dhuandhar falls.
