Diwan Mahal
During 1743 AD, the ruler of Nagpur, Raghuji Bhosle had given the powers to Mohammed Khan, who ruled Seoni from Chapra. Mohammed Khan was the Diwan of Seoni. After the death of Mohammed Khan in 1761 AD Majid Khan (who was the son of Mohammed Khan) was made the Diwan of Seoni and after 1774 AD Mohammed Amir Khan was made the Diwan of Seoni who had built Diwan Mahal in an area of 3 acre. At present the building is under the procession of the family of Diwan. There is a two storey square shaped “Bawli” (well) in the vicinity made of brick and lime mortar
Math Mandir
It represents the heritage and religious culture of Seoni. This temple is believed to have its presence since 200 BC but this temple is believed to be constructed in 800 AD. The temple has a Shivling as the main deity and on the left part of the temple, there is one grave of Shri Gosai Sanyasi. It is believed that the main deity of the temple is setup by Shri Adi Shankaracharya himself. By the end of 17th Century AD, the temple was handed over to Gosai Mahant Achalgiri by Raja Bakth Bulandshah of Devgadh. The temple complex also has a water body on the eastern side. The interior parts of the temple depict the traditional architecture and the outer portions of the temple has camouflaged with the new constructions near the temple
Dargah Shariff Hazrath Miyan Mohammed Shah Wali (Badi Zyaarat):
Zyaarat Wale Baba had a very reputed history and was a strategic advisor to Raghuraja Bhosle of Nagpur. After the demise of Zyaarat wale baba, Mohammed Khan (Diwan of Seoni) had started the construction of Dargah Shariff Hazrath Miyan Mohammed Shah Wali (Badi Zyaarat). This dargah is a symbol of traditional unity of Hindus and Muslims in the region.

Shri Digambar Jain Bada Mandir
The Digambar Jain Mandir in Seoni is a special structure with 18 different types of ‘shikars’ with each shikar having different types of sculptures. The entire temple complex was built in different time periods. The flooring in the temple complex is done by using costly stones like Marble, sangmusa and Firozabad stones. The walls and windows are decorated with different types and colours of glass pieces. The oldest temple in this complex is the Parshvnath Temple.

Other Heritage Structures
Apart from the above, the other heritage structures in the city include the ancestral property of Dadu Parivar, Residence of British MDM, Anglican
Church, Hindi Main Board School, British Colony Swimming Pool in Company garden, British kachahar (now Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir).


The area has always been rich in wildlife. It is dominated by fairly open canopy, mixed forests with considerable shrub cover and open grassy patches. The high habitat heterogeneity favours high population of Chital and Sambar.

Rookhad Wildlife Sanctuary
Rookhad Wildlife Sanctuary lies adjacent to the Pench National park in the Seoni District of Madhya Pradesh. Rookhad Wildlife Sanctuary is commonly referred as Bison Sanctuary for the Rookhad Sanctuary is a home to many bisons (gaurs).

Pachmarhi Hill Station
Pachmarhi Hill Station is a beautiful hill station nestling amidst the Satpura Range in the Hoshangabad District of Madhya Pradesh. Pachmarhi Hill Station is around 200 km from Pench National Park. Pachmarhi Hill Station is famous for its breath-taking landscapes, waterfalls and panoramic points.

Mandla
The historical town of Mandla lies 196 km from Pench national park and offers excellent sightseeing options which includes the famous Garha Fort in Killa Ghat. The drive from Pench national park to Mandla is 3 hours. Mandla is a picturesque town which is surrounded from all the three sides by River Narmada.

Jabalpur
Roughly 206 km from Pench National Park, Jabalpur offers various sightseeing options and the city can be visited as an ideal one day picnic from Pench National park. The tourists spots in Jabalpur include famous Madan Mahal Fort, Bheraghat (Famous for its marble rocks), Rani Durgavati Memorial, Tilwara Ghat, Sangram Sagar and Bajnamath which are examples of medieval construction.
