How to reach:
Jabalpur is on the Mumbai - Howrah via Allahabad rail line and all trains halt here. The railway station is 4 kms downtown.
Jabalpur is connected by air. By road on the T junction of National Highway 10 it is connected to major centres within the region. Some road distances are Gwalior (486 kms), Khajuraho (257 kms), Orchha (399 kms), Indore (480 kms) and Ujjain (482 kms)

Madan Mahal Fort
Built by the Gond ruler, Raja Madan Shah, in 1116 atop a rocky hill, the fort dominates the skyline and provides a panoramic view of the town and the country side around it.

Sangram Sagar and Bajnamath
These medieval constructions were built by the famous Gond King, Sangram Shah, between 1480-1540.

Rani Durgavati Memorial and Museum
Dedicated to the memory of the great Queen Durgavati, it is her memorial and museum which houses a fine collection of sculptures, inscriptions and prehistoric relics.

Tilwara Ghat
From where Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed in the Narmada, and venue of the open session of the Tripuri Congress in 1939.
The British  took over Jabalpur in 1817 and their imprint is visible in the spacious cantonment, colonial style residences and barracks. Today the city is an important administrative commercial centre. Provincial Jabalpur is celebrated for the marble rocks that rise like cliffs from the river Narmada that flows through the city. How ever the rocks are not really marble but also known because of the dazzling purity of the limestone deposits. Jabalpur also has some interesting temples.

Madhya Pradesh is not called the heart of India only because of its location in the centre of the country. It has been home to the cultural heritage of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainisim and Islam. Innumerable monuments exquisitely carved temples, stupas, forts and palaces are dotted all over the state. The National Parks of Kanha, Bandhavgarh and many others you can spot the tiger, the bison and a wide variety of deers and antelopes.
