Places to see
Aranmula
On the Pamba river 10 kms from Chengannur on the Thoruvananthapuram - Kottayam route the Krishna temple here is a important pilgrim centre. A snakeboat race is held in August - September.
Kaviyoor
5 kms east of Thiruvala on the banks of the Manimala has a Hanuman temple and a rockcut temple 1.5 kms away.
Kozhencherry
13 kms from Pathanamthitta next to pamba river. The Maramon convection is held annually in Feb- March on the river bed. This is the biggest gathering for Christmas in Asia.
