In Jamshedpur-Seraikella the hills and forests blend itself with the man made parks, lakes and dams. From the sheen of steel to the shimmer of rich Tussar silk from the latest technologies to the age old art and ethnic forms of the rural Adivasis. Seraikella is the seat of the internationally acclaimed masked dance of Chhau. Patronized by the erstwhile rulers of Seraikella and Raj Kharsawan their Garhs stand tall braving the ravages of time. Ghatshila takes you to the by-lanes of the famous Bengali writer Late Bibhuti Bhushan Bandhopadhyay. The anicent temples of Lord Chitreshwar and Goddess Rukmini is also very famous here. 
What to see



Chandil dam is on the river Subarnarekha and offers facilities of water sports.


Jayda temple on the banks of river Subarnarekha is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a good picnic spot


Dalma elephant sanctuary on the banks of river Subarnarekha as a few animals apart from the elephant to look out for.


Dimna lake ia a artificial reservoir and a good picnic spot.


Jubilee park is built like the Brindavan gardens in Bangalore. It also has children parks and boating facilities.


Golf course is more than 60 years old and many tournaments are arranged here.


Centre for Excellence is Tata's pursuit for excellence.


Nicco park is a fantasy park for children.
