India has a long list of beautiful and natural beaches in the world. Having a coastline of over 7,600 kms it is also home to several world class resorts towns with their own relaxing spas, diving and water sports, seafood cuisine. Lets have a look at the various beaches located in India

This is a perfect destination for those who cringe at the thought of leaving the happening North Goa and still want the peace of the Southern shores. Earlier a backpacker's beach Benaulim has been gromed into a luxury destination. Acres of white sand beach, blue green waters, palm trees and rice fields ornament the quaint Benaulim. The beach is not crowded by too many noisy hawkers. A few shops along the beach sell trinklets and artifacts.

The shopping arcade at Taj Exotica ia also a good option to buy souveniars, jewellery and clothes.

About Benaulim Beach Goa
BENAULIM beach, 1.5 km south, is a popular, quiet alternative to Colva. Whilst there is some accommodation around the end of the road, most is in the village, approx. 1km inland. On the south side is the beautiful Lotus Lake, famous in Indian mythology as the place where Goa was formed from an arrow shot by Parashurama, an incarnation of Vishnu. A further 800m down the beach is WADI Beach, marked by one restaurant and a fishermans co-op. 5 mins. inland is the Francon G.House and in the village is the Karina Resort and 5 other guest houses.

After spending the day in leisure you can dance  your way to Coco's club in the evening. Goan trance music fills the air at Coco's but they are willing to cater to various musical tastes as well. And then there are places to groge on Goan delicacies . Some of the popular eating shacks are Johncy's, L'Amour and Palm Grove's garden restaurant. Once in Goa its a sin not to try the stuffed crabs or pomfret tikka and a host of other sea foods. Most shacks are willing to set up a candle light table right on the beach so you can feel the water on your feet.

If all thats not enough Benaulim has more to offer. Bull fights amidst blaring Konkani music on rice fields is a special attraction. The fact that food and motorbikes are cheaper here than most parts of Goa, and its proximity to other beaches also give its a edge. The adjoining Varca beach is one of the most virgin beaches in Goa untouched by tourists. Colva and Palolem are also unspoiled beaches which appeal you with their tranquility.
